Hi All, Just received MAstering Mix last Friday (one week ago) and have been going through the first few discs in combination with my usual Singing Success Workouts every morning and wanting to say few words about the program in general. I also just had a lesson via Skype (I'm an American living in Berlin, Germany) last night and got some professional feedback on what I've been doing. A bit about me: I'm another one of those men who always broke through the "bridges". (I'm trying to eliminate such vocabulary from my lexicon of terms to use when describing singing, but for now...). I spoke with a former associate of SS in February of 2008 and he told me I had "a lot more under the hook" vocally speaking, but I never could find the correct way. I bought the SS program shortly after that conversation and have been using it steadily since roughly October 2008 (preparing to pack your entire life up and move to a foreign country tends to tax the schedule a bit, and I suppose I wasn't ready to make the full commitment to making my voice what I want it to be). After working through the CD's in my room for nearly 8 months, I finally took my first lesson with Jesse in August of 2009. Immediately I noticed there were things I was doing wrong for all that time and went about correcting them, and got a rehearsal room to be able to "embarrass" myself in private. After working through some more exercises, picking up Jesse's "7 Secrets" and having another lesson with Jesse I started actually "feeling" changes and knowing they were changes that were taking me toward a HEALTHY voice. LAst night's lesson (while completely conjested, on 4 hours' sleep and slightly feverish) only proved this more. I say all this to let all the frustrated people out there know that everything all the SS courses promise is starting to prove true for me. Frustration is natural. Discipline is the way to beat it. If you're not feeling like the program is working...stick with it! It took a REALLY long time (see above) and working incredibly hard on blind faith alone before I started seeing real results that could be confirmed by someone who's walked the path longer than I have (Jesse in this case). Goals are important, but so is the process so enjoy it. That's my little New Age rant and a good preface to what I REALLY wanted to write about. MASTERING MIX. Again, I've only worked through the first few discs, but I can assure anyone wondering that the first box is worth the price of the program alone. The DVD explanations and Brett's dialog throughout provided a jolt of understanding I hadn't had in all the time previous. And the workouts have some great new exercises (and exercises order) that have really increased my ability, and, more importantly, my AWARENESS of exactly what the hell is going on inside when I vocalize. Even if you have the SS program and some supplemental material, I do think MAstering Mix is a sound INVESTMENT in your voice. It is NOT a program designed to make Brett money while essentially giving you more of the same. It is a genuinely incredible supplement to the SS program and it's already done me a world of good in just one week while being not in top health. I still think that supplemental lessons with a human being will ultimately prove the best route and give the fastest progress, but having these gems with you at all times just can't be beat. Exercise after exercises continues to strengthen every aspect of the voice. It's obvious that MM is, indeed, Brett's "life work" as he says on the supplemental DVD. I realize this is as much gushing praise as it is commentary, but I wanted people to know they are reading the words of a real person, with real vocal struggles who is, through will, disciplined practice and the right guidance, overcoming all his shortcomings. I've still got a way to go, but for the first time I've touched the end result. And once one can feel it, they only need to build the strength to grab it, hold it, and wield it like a tool in their arsenal. Sorry for this being so long, everyone. I hope this helped someone. I have Singing Success and have yet to get to work with it. I am female and sing mostly with my chest voice but want desperately to master the mix and have strength with my head voice. My question is the same as some previous. Are all the same exercises in SS included in MM? If most of them are the same with an added few, then it seems an awful lot of money to pay for duplication of what I already have.

Is anyone out there willing to describe for me what other exercises are used in the SS programme? - there has to be more to it than lip-trilling and going Ah------------------- up a scale or arpeggio. One doesn't sing this way - there are words to negotiate - it is one thing to go through the registers on the lip-trill - quite another to go through them singing words!

Hey guys, just wanted to help shed some light on this program. I have been singing for 7 years now. I went to a performing arts high school in Dallas, TX where I had a lot of success as a singer, however, I had trouble in my upper range. After high school I took a year off, and stopped taking voice lessons from my "classical" teachers, because I felt like they couldn't help me anymore. First of all I'd like to say thank you to the whole team, who have helped me out after my injury.You allowed me a Free copy of singing Success, which even despite my memory problems I have enjoyed with my children. This is a dream for all serious vocalists. I'm from GUam so I'm in no way applauding this just because. Thanks Dason - still leaves the question as to how radically different are the exercises which are going to achieve this transformation in MMP from those in SSP. An indicative demo of the exercise patterns in MMP as well as SSP on which to base a purchase decision would be very helpful. To date I have not seen anything other than the lip-trills and arpeggios on Ah! as seen in the short video clips (in which, more often than not, the the teacher and pupil have suspect intonation on the descending arpeggio) These are hardly ground breaking vocalises. Please enlighten me - are there any more.

I've been using SSP for a year now and let me try to clarify the "difference" issue here from my point of view.
SSP is the foundation for building your voice. It is designed to :
1. erase the breaks
2. increase vocal range and
3. finding the mix voice.
Once you master the exercises on the SSP you'll notice that you can sing higher in your mix voice, but there's no power. The mix voice is weak, light and you can't control the volume of the high notes. You'll ask these kind of questions: How do I strengthen my mix voice? How do I control my volume on the higher notes? How can I make my mix voice heavier?
The answer is: Mastering Mix...

First of all I'd like to say thank you to the whole team, who have helped me out after my injury.You allowed me a Free copy of singing Success, which even despite my memory problems I have enjoyed with my children. I am doing a lot better now and have waited for the new product to be released not because I want to suddenly be some amazing singer or earn a fortune in the industry but basically to return the kindness that was shown me in my hardest moments. This is a dream for all serious vocalists. I'm from GUam so I'm in no way applauding this just because. I'm doing so because of the results he's given to me, I never that that I'd be smiling at the sound of my own voice rather than some radio voice. i got the Singing Success. Mastering Vibrato. Jesse Nemitz&Brett Mannings Top7 Vocal Excercises and they do NOT disappoint. I'm more than happy and am extremely stoked on getting this program :D

I have been using the SSP for a while, and I was able to do things with my voice that I never was possible! I really believe that Brett and the entire SS Staff, are the best. I feel like they really work extremely hard to help others learn the amazing potential inside of them. I can not wait til I am able to go to Tenn. train with one of the vocal team...

Thanks Dason - still leaves the question as to how radically different are the exercises which are going to achieve this transformation in MMP from those in SSP. An indicative demo of the exercise patterns in MMP as well as SSP on which to base a purchase decision would be very helpful. To date I have not seen anything other than the lip-trills and arpeggios on Ah! as seen in the short video clips (in which, more often than not, the the teacher and pupil have suspect intonation on the descending arpeggio) These are hardly ground breaking vocalises. Please enlighten me - are there any more.
my view on the SSP and the new Mastering Mix

I've been using SSP for a year now and let me try to clarify the "difference" issue here from my point of view.
SSP is the foundation for building your voice. It is designed to :
1. erase the breaks
2. increase vocal range and
3. finding the mix voice.
Once you master the exercises on the SSP you'll notice that you can sing higher in your mix voice, but there's no power. The mix voice is weak, light and you can't control the volume of the high notes. You'll ask these kind of questions: How do I strengthen my mix voice? How do I control my volume on the higher notes? How can I make my mix voice heavier?
The answer is: Mastering Mix...
