I have encountered a very high number of artists who believe they do not need voice lessons because their voice is good enough.
Yes, while half of them do really have amazing voices, the vocal cords still need to be exercised just like any other muscle in your body. Just because someone has a natural lean and toned build does not mean they are physically fit.
As artists, and even myself as a coach, it is vital to always keep up with lessons to not only keep your voice conditioned, but to also help you stay ahead of the game. Training will not only upkeep your voice and get you to think on your toes, but it will also build your confidence in your art. And no one can say no to a confident character.
So keep training and don’t let the little humps get you frustrated! That is what it is all about: Working through bridges and walls and building your voice to be its best for the rest of your life.
